Metaverse is probably this year’s top buzzworld.It is an online virtual world that integrates AR, VR,3D avatars, gaming, cryptos, videos and different means of communications, in which people can interact virtually. The global Metaverse market is expected to reach US$41.62 billion by 2026, according to research firm Strategy Analytics.

Many companies have already started to embrace this next big trend. Facebook has just changed its corporate name to “Meta Platforms”. Nike has announced that it will build its digital space “NIKELAND” on Roblox, the first of the big brands that join Metaverse.

This provides tremendous career opportunities. Facebook is going to hire over 10,000 people in the EU with “highly specialised engineers” as one of its most pressing priorities, while gaming company Roblox has seen an increase in recruitment in the past year.

Talents that are in demand are mainly in 3D design, programming, and UX design.
