UK Graduate Job Vacancies Have Increased
The independent market research company High Fliers Research has published “The Graduate Market in 2022", showing that the number of graduate jobs on offer in 2022 is expected to increase by 15.7%, the largest annual rise in graduate recruitment for over 15 years.
Here are some of the key findings from the report.
The technology industry sees the most increase of graduate vacancies in 2022 from 2021, followed by Oil & Energy and Consulting.

For the first time in 8 years, the median graduate starting salary on offer from the UK’s leading employers is expected to rise – to £32,000 in 2022. Investment Banking, Law, and Consulting provide the highest salaries to graduates.

During the 2021-2022 recruitment season, employers increased the number of universities where they proactive advertised graduate job openings. Employers from industries of accounting & professional service, public sector, retailing, investment banking, and law firms have actively promoted their graduate vacancies at the largest number of local universities.
Manchester, Nottingham, Bristol, Birmingham, and Leeds are the top five universities that have attracted the most top graduate employers for virtual university careers fairs, university-specific employer presentations, career service promotion.
