Competitions for Aspiring Humanities and Social Sciences Students
While there are many competitions for science students, there are also plenty of competitions for students who wish to apply for Humanities, Social Sciences, and liberal arts.
In contrast to science competitions (e.g., AMC, Physics Bowl) that require students to take tests, the majority of humanities and social sciences competitions emphasize essay writing to evaluate critical thinking and writing skills. Participation in these competitions will not only increase a student's admission chances, but it can also enhance their subject knowledge and academic writing abilities at the undergraduate level.
We have listed out some of the renowned competitions that are open to students globally, such as the Marhsall Society Essay Competition, Essay Competition by John Locke, and strongly suggest our mentees to participate in some of them to sharpen their competitive edges.
